Years ago I was a personal trainer and I saw a lot of people start the new year gung-ho to get in shape. If you’re attending a gym I’m sure you noticed how long you have to wait to use your favorite equipment. In about a month you won’t have to wait so long. It’s a crazy animal, new years resolutions…they just don’t work. You need a plan and a strategy. The people that hired me knew if they didn’t work with a trainer their chance of success was significantly lower and the reasons were accountability and financial investment. If you know someone is waiting for you at the gym and will hold your hand through all the exercises, encourage you and push you on to the next level, you are much more likely to put in the time and be accountable to that person. If you’ve paid someone it goes to a whole other level. The bottom line is this, change is hard, but it can be done if you have a plan and strategy.
